# Beatbotz Education — Filming Workflow

## Purpose
A repeatable production workflow for pupil-led or school-based video content.

## 1. Define the learning purpose
- What should the pupil notice, understand or be able to do afterwards?
- Which age group and setting is the content for?
- Is the scenario universal, targeted or safeguarding-sensitive?

## 2. Safeguarding review before filming
- DSL / safeguarding lead reviews the scenario and language.
- Avoid using a real pupil's live safeguarding experience as a script.
- Agree boundaries for themes, language, locations and disclosure handling.
- Agree what staff member is present during pupil production.

## 3. Production roles
Possible pupil roles: writer, actor, camera, sound, continuity, editor, presenter, accessibility reviewer. Participation should never depend on appearing on camera.

## 4. Shoot plan
Keep scenes short. Capture: wide shot, medium shot, close detail, clean dialogue, room tone and any inserts needed for interactive pause points.

## 5. Edit for interaction
Build clear pause points: NOTICE → CHOOSE → DISCUSS → CONNECT. Keep choices short enough to read on a classroom screen.

## 6. Review before release
Review for safeguarding, accessibility, tone, accuracy, subtitles, sound levels, permissions and school-specific support routes.
